FG Receives Super Tucano, Fighter Jet from U.S


Posted by JUSTOURS News                                                                                                    The much-awaited fighter jet, Super Tucano has arrived in Abuja amid excitement in the military circle.

Six of the war assets ordered by the Federal Government about three years ago, touched down in Abuja, Thursday afternoon. Minister of Defence, Maj Gen. Bashir Magashi who was on hand to receive the aircraft unveiled the Nigerian flag on one of the Super Tucano aircraft.
Announcing the arrival of the aircraft, the Director of Public Relations and Information (DOPRI)  of the Nigerian Air Force, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, said the jets arrived to the waiting hand of the Minister of Defence, Maj-Gen Bashir Magashi.

Gabkwet said Chief of Army Staff, Lt-Gen. Farouq Yahaya and his Nigerian Air Force counterpart, Air Marshal Isiaka Oladayo Amao, were also on hand to receive aircraft.                                                                                                       JUSTOURS gathered that travel arrangements are being made for some officers to travel to the United States to get training on the knowhow from the aircraft makers.                                               Contact us: just_tours@yahoo.com
